A solar home energy system typically comprises solar panels, an inverter, batteries (if desired), and a grid connection. Our installer partners will meet with you to design your system based on your household usage, and wishes.
SunPower Performance 6 solar panels are the predecessor of our latest generation, SunPower Performance 7 solar panels. The technology is different between generation 6 and 7, but both generations are exceptional when compared to standard panels.
There are a variety of key technical differences between SunPower Performance 6 solar panels and standard panels, including the design and layout of the solar cells, the conductive material used, and the electrical architecture—which combine to enhance their reliability, performance and aesthetics.
To go into a bit more technical detail, we laser cut Mono PERC cells into six strips and layer them in a shingled configuration to create a ‘hypercell’. This shingled hypercell allows us to fit more active cell area into each panel, boosting power and efficiency. Using high-quality materials and premium encapsulants, they are built to last in harsh weather conditions. SunPower Performance 6 panels feature a unique parallel circuit architecture that significantly limits power loss from shade and soiling. The result is a high-quality shingled panel constructed with commodity cells, outperforming standard panels in efficiency, performance and reliability.
You can power your entire house using solar energy. By installing solar panels, you can generate electricity from sunlight and run your home's appliances, lighting, and other electrical systems. An inverter converts the solar-generated electricity into a usable form, and batteries can store excess energy for use during cloudy days or at night. Factors like your energy consumption, the size of the solar system, available sunlight, and location are all important. Our professional installers will help you determine the right setup for your needs.

A photovoltaic (PV) solar system is comprised of solar panels, racks for placing the panels on your roof, electrical wiring and an inverter. From sunrise to sunset, the solar panels generate electricity (DC) which is sent to an inverter. The inverter converts the DC electricity into alternating current (AC), which is the type of electricity required for household use. The AC power is delivered directly to your home’s main electrical service panel for use by you and your family.
With our Maxeon solar panels we offer the longest warrany in the industry: 40 years. And that covers both the product and the performance, which is not the case for all the other standard panel warranties. That’s because we know that our technology is designed to last even more than 40 years. Our Performance value line are backed by a 30-year Warranty. . Regular maintenance, environmental conditions, usage patterns, and technological advancements can influence their lifespan.
