A feed-in tariff is the amount your electricity retailer pays you for any electricity your solar system generates that you don’t use or consume, and is instead fed back into the electric grid. You’ll want to work with a local solar installer who is knowledgeable about feed-in tariffs in your area, as different states have different policies.
SunPower Performance solar panels help organisations minimise up-front project costs. Their enhanced reliability and durability mean fewer maintenance issues and longer panel lifespan, leading to long-term cost savings. The panels' superior efficiency also ensures optimal energy production, reducing energy bills over time.
SunPower Performance panels are designed to provide better performance and reliability than conventional panels. This means businesses can achieve their energy goals with fewer panels, leading to reduced installation costs. Additionally, the advanced technology and design features of these panels ensure maximum energy output, offering better value for the investment.
Costs vary from project to project. Performance panels generally have a price point that is competitive with Conventional Panels.
Electricity prices continue to rise and so do your operational expenses. Fortunately, the cost of going solar has never been more affordable. When you install a solar system now, you can offset your electricity bills to protect your business against future energy expenses.
There are a variety of key technical differences between SunPower Performance solar panels and Conventional Panels, including the design and layout of the solar cells and the electric architecture—which combine to enhance the reliability, performance and aesthetics of Performance panels.
To go into a bit more technical detail, first, we laser cut each SunPower Performance cell into strips and layer them in a shingled configuration to create a ‘hypercell’. This shingled hypercell allows us to fit more active cell area into each panel, boosting power and efficiency. Second, Performance cells are connected with a flexible joint interconnection to offer multiple and redundant paths for energy flow. This allows us to remove the front contact conductive ribbons and solder bonds found in conventional cells that can block active cell area and deteriorate over time, leading to cell failures and power deficits. Finally, SunPower Performance panels feature a unique parallel circuit architecture that significantly limits power loss in shade and soiling. The result is a superior shingled panel constructed with commodity cells, outperforming conventional panels in efficiency, performance and reliability.
